Bulletin Board Project
here is my finished board =) i went for shiny black because i wanted the board to really stick out from the lady bugs; and shiny is always better than matte! lol
so this is the board after adding all the flowers; adorable right?
after i got it hung up; i took thumb tacks and evenly spaced them out on the board; i took all my accessories and organized all my earrings in 2 craft organizer that i bought at walmart; and decided to only hang necklaces on the board; i hung a pair of earrings or two that were too big for the organizer and a bracelet that wouldnt fit either. i gave tons of the stuff i knew i wouldnt use to my sister because there is no point in collecting things you know you wont use. now that i can actually get to my stuff easier; im gonna buy another board and go out and get some accessories.
what do you guys think? are you gonna make your own boards?

NUTRILITE REVIEW
the first one is Nutrilite Natural Multi Carotene(pictured above). this is what Amway claims...
"This powerful blend contains all-natural, fat-soluble carotenoid compounds from algae, palm fruit oil, and marigold flowers. It’s much more like the mix of carotenoids found in fruits and vegetables than the isolated beta carotene in many supplements. This provides better nutritional and antioxidant value. Carotenoids help protect your skin, and the added lutein and zeaxanthin help protect your eyes. Certified halal bovine gelatin.
•Helps fight free radical damage created from smoke, pollution, exercise and regular breathing.
•Provides 4.5 mg of beta carotene, the equivalent of 7,500 IU of vitamin A (retinol) –as much as 1.8 oz. of cooked sweet potatoes or 2.9 oz. of cooked spinach.
•Provides 1.07 mg of alpha carotene, as much as 1.04 oz. of raw carrots.
•Provides 1.12 mg of lutein and 45 mcg of zeaxanthin, as much as in 5.23 oz. of corn."
ladies and gents they are NOT lying. i give this product a 5/5. a week or so after taking 3 pills a day with a meal; and following up with my skin care routine i started to see BIG changes in my skin. not only was it clearing out all that oil i had in my pores, but it also helped alot with my oily skin problem. well worth the money; and they just lowered the price on the Amway website.
the second one i take is the Daily Multivitamins. i am the worst eater; i eat alot of junk food, and i dont eat any vegetables at all. it got to a point where i was always out of energy and i started losing weight because i was constantly eating(which sped up my metabolism); but it was all junk food so i was getting zero nutrients or vitamins. losing weight sounds good; but not when you do it in an unhealthy way. i take these one a day, and they help fill in the little gaps of the things i wouldn't get in the foods i eat everyday. i think these are a little more expensive by a few dollars; but you only take one a day and it brings 180 tablets.
all in all; these two vitamins are very worth the buy. i was a non believer in taking any sort of vitamins daily and i honestly thought that i didnt need these; but now that i actually see the difference i will continue to buy these two and keep them in my day to day routine. dont feel restricted to only these two; Amway has vitamins and dietary supplements for EVERYTHING. browse around and see which vitamins fit you the most and trust me they are for sure worth every penny!! they also have vitamins to help with weight loss and others geared towards woman health. remember ladies; we arent 16 anymore; and we have to learn to take better care of ourselves!!

Feedback!!
Brushes! Brushes! and more...Brushes!!
so, here is a little break down of the most important brushes to have in your makeup routine.
Foundation brush
even though most people pat on foundation with their fingers; brushes are much more efficient girls! this is a brush you will most likely use everyday so its good to get a good quality one so you dont end up having to replace it often. why is a brush better than your fingers? easy! your finger only takes in as much product as you can dab on it, and also the foundation brush has a flat shape and long bristles and ensures that your makeup will go on smooth and flawlessly =) also its better for blending than your fingers!! it helps you get more product on your face; without having to use so much of it.
Concealer Brush
the concealer brush is alot like the foundation brush in the sense that it looks like a mini version of it. the bristles are thin and short which makes it perfect for cream or liquid concealer. it is smaller because its more for spot treatment and under eye areas. its shame and size allows the brush to concentrate the product on your problem area.
this is also a brush that you might want to consider getting a good one so that it wont shed when you clean it, and wont have to replace often.
Powder Brush
the powder brush is used to apply any loose/pressed powder on your face to get rid of shine. it can also be used with your powder concealer/ bronzer; or to do some simple contouring of the face. they come in different sizes; and it just depends on your preference. a looser brush will give you less coverage; where as a fuller brush will apply more product on your face.
Eye shadow Brush
eyeshadow brushes come in alot of different shapes and sizes and each one does something a little slightly different than the other. you can use thin ones to line the eye, square shaped ones to smudge eyeshadow or liner, angled ones for your crease and contour, there really is no wrong with brushes. you pretty much use what is more comfortable for you. yes, specific brushes do specific things, BUT as long as you get from point A to B; it doesnt really matter which way you do it. every one is different and does make up in their own way. play around with brushes and figure out which one works best for what on you.
Blush Brush
self explanatory; its used to apply blush. you can get an angled brush, or a regular one. angled ones are good for contouring of the cheekbones and face; regular ones do the trick too; but the angle helps you pack on color more naturally.
optional; is a lip brush. applying lipstick; sometimes you can go too heavy, so to avoid this its better to use a lip brush so that you can get the precise amount you want and also to make sure that your lipstick is even all through out. it also helps with smoothing it out and helps with feathering. another optional is the eyebrow brush which are reasonable in price and help keep your brows and lashes in tip tip shape. like i said, there are many varieties and price ranges; it all depends on how much you are willing to spend. if you cant afford makeup brushes but still want good quality brushes; try some of the painting brushes from arts and crafts stores. it sounds silly but the brushes i used in college for painting classes are very similar to the ones i use for makeup. make sure you get the white haired ones or the orange haired ones since they tend to be softer. you dont want anything harsh on your face and eyes. target has great brushes for a good price, also coastal scents and bf-beauty.com has some good ones as well that get great reviews online and are very fair in price. hope this helps ladies!! give me some feedback!

MUFE(makeup forever) Cosmetic line
im also going to get the makeup forever primer. whats awesome about MUFE primers is that they come in different colors according to your undertone and skin tone to help give your skin an all over even tone before you even apply foundation. i was matched up for the neutral(white) colored primer since i dont have much discoloration in my skin. if you go to sephora.com and look at the MUFE primers it gives you some detail about what each color does for your face, and its some guidance as to what color primer to get. if your medium toned, i suggest going with just the neutral white because the brown toner tends to be a little dark and has alot of red in it. it looked HORRIBLE ON ME. im also looking forward to trying this bad boy out...
its a concealer palette; much like the one i talked about in a previous entry. this one has five color options which means you can blend the colors together and get the precise coverage you need for under eye circles; blemishes; scars; etc. i also heard that their regular concealers are great too; so i'll probably give that a go too for the days where you get those random breakouts. and last but NOT least; eye shadows. they have this really cool little thing; refillable palettes. sometimes makeup lines only come out with palettes for special editions; or maybe the ones they do come out with only have 3 - 4 colors; so this works out great!
you can transfer your shadows directly into here which makes it easier to organize your eye shadows; and also gives you the freedom to make your own custom made palette.
you can find these and more MUFE products at sephora.com; also sephora has a special going on right now!! when you buy 3 MUFE eye shadows you get the palette(retailed at $10.00) for FREE!! the eye shadows usually retail for around $19.00 but well worth the money. also, mostly any shadow will fit in the palette, so you don't need to stick to just MUFE eye shadows!

Essie Nail Polish review
Packaging: 5/5
Overall rating: 5/5
pros: cute color selection; goes on smooth; LASTS FOR DAYS!!; soft on nails; doesn't chip dramatically; looks great on nails; every color you can imagine, they got it!
cons: hmm not every one wants to dish out 8 dollars per nail polish but in my opinion you get your moneys worth because they are really good. only thing to look out for is that some of the colors are pretty sheer; so you have to do 3 - 4 coats; BUT the good thing is that no matter how many coats of this stuff i put on, it never got bulky, it still went on super smooth; and it looked as if i only had 2 coats on. i will for sure continue to buy from the Essie collection!
P.S. i waited a couple days to do this review to test out the durability of the nail polish and see how much chipping i was going to be dealing with.

Essie nail polish
its precious! the only thing i didnt like was that it was very sheer, so i had to apply 3 - 4 coats, BUT other than that i loved them. i ended up getting two colors;
they are both gorgeous; for 8 dollars where ever essies are sold near you. target has them but not as many color options. you can try online, or any beauty product stores at the mall. the greenish color is "mint candy apple"; the purpleish color is "looking for love". essie retails for $8.00 a piece.

the basics.
the name of the line is artistry essentials; balancing. my moms friend recommended me these and im so glad. they really have helped so much. i was bouncing around from product to product like a mad woman! i had never had any skin problems so i was pretty much panicking. the thing is that you have to give products TIME to work. your skin has to adapt to them and then you start seeing results. at first i didnt notice any changes, but i stuck with artistry and im so glad i did! aveno is great, but i feel like it wasn't strong enough for my skin. this line is a 3 step process. the cleanser, the toner, and the lotion. whats great about it is that its for oily skin, so it hydrates without adding any extra oil to my skin. i've even noticed that over time my skin is no where near as oily as it use to be. i dont have to wear powder or anything, and its just fine. the lotion goes on great, it isnt greasy, and it has SPF15 which is great for the summer because the sun can do so much damage to your skin, and sometimes sun blocks are so greasy that you dont want to bother putting them on.
aside from the 3 steps; i also give myself a facial twice a week with these two products. one is a mask that helps out all the oil and junk from your pores; the other is a microdermabration scrub. both work wonders; specially the scrub. i gently scrub my face for about four minutes and it leaves my skin SO SMOOTH. it helps get rid of all dead skin that builds up around ur nose, and also works great with revealing new skin, specially if you have acne scars or dark spots. artistry tends to be on the pricier side; but trust me girls its so well worth it. the cleanser, toner, and lotion are between 14 - 20 dollars a piece. the scrub and mask are a little pricier, but these you dont use as much so you dont run out of them as often. if your having problems with your skin, or looking to try a new skin care line, i HIGHLY recommend artistry. balancing is the line for oily skin; but they also have artistry for reg and dry skin also. you can get artistry products from the Amway website, or find a representative around your way that sells them. if you guys have any questions; or need any info on these products let me know! also, my moms friend is a rep for Amway; so she sells the products so if you guys are interested in getting anything contact me.

some reviews!! =)
the lashblast mascara; was ok. i expected it to be much better; but i think its because i got the volume one and not the lenght one. the physicians formula bronzer is good so far; really natural looking. the lip sticks will have to wait till tomorrow for a full run. i know this is so low on details and actual pictures; i'll have that tomorrow; for SURE!! and maybe i'll even do a couple of looks since i havent played with my makeup box in a while =)
