Bulletin Board Project

If your anything like me you need to have things in your face at all times or else you forget about them. i buy so many things and stuff then in my closet and never even get to wear them because i forget they are in there. im too lazy to look through things unless i need something in particular so i like to have things where i can see them and easily get to them so i wont have to dig around. my accessories storage was really bugging me because all my necklaces would get tied up and it was a mission looking through each bin. i felt like i couldn't get any more accessories because i wasn't wearing any of the ones i already had. i solved that yesterday. =) i went out in search of a jewelry box; but came up with a better idea. i bought a plain bulletin board at walmart for about 9 dollars; its pretty good sized; and decided to turn it into a jewelry display; that way everything is hanging; visible; and easy to access. i painted the board black using acrylic paint in "shiny black". while getting the board; i found lady bug adornments and got 1 for each corner. i stuck them on the board using wood glue.

here is my finished board =) i went for shiny black because i wanted the board to really stick out from the lady bugs; and shiny is always better than matte! lol

After wrapping up painting the board; i wanted to give it a little more jazz since it was kind of plain; so i grabbed my white and yellow paint and drew flowers all around the boarders. i didnt make them anything perfect; because they just didnt have to be.

so this is the board after adding all the flowers; adorable right?

after i got it hung up; i took thumb tacks and evenly spaced them out on the board; i took all my accessories and organized all my earrings in 2 craft organizer that i bought at walmart; and decided to only hang necklaces on the board; i hung a pair of earrings or two that were too big for the organizer and a bracelet that wouldnt fit either. i gave tons of the stuff i knew i wouldnt use to my sister because there is no point in collecting things you know you wont use. now that i can actually get to my stuff easier; im gonna buy another board and go out and get some accessories.
what do you guys think? are you gonna make your own boards?

NUTRILITE REVIEW

ok, lets start off basic, i HATE pills. simple as that. i always forget to take them, i never think they work, im just an anti-pill kinda person. while i was having my little skin care issue(which is going great!!) aside from buying the Amway skin care line; my mom also forced me into buying these two vitamins. shes a vitamin junkie and she knows i have horrible eating habits so she guiled me into buying them. i was so mad because i felt like it was a loss on my side of money because in my mind; the pills she bought only worked in her mind lol. so to get her off my back i kinda started taking them; and wow, they have shut me up!! so let me introduce you guys to the greatness of Nutrilite Vitamins!! a friend was curious about them so i figured i'll just tell all of you guys about them and kill two birds with one stone.

the first one is Nutrilite Natural Multi Carotene(pictured above). this is what Amway claims...

"This powerful blend contains all-natural, fat-soluble carotenoid compounds from algae, palm fruit oil, and marigold flowers. It’s much more like the mix of carotenoids found in fruits and vegetables than the isolated beta carotene in many supplements. This provides better nutritional and antioxidant value. Carotenoids help protect your skin, and the added lutein and zeaxanthin help protect your eyes. Certified halal bovine gelatin.
•Helps fight free radical damage created from smoke, pollution, exercise and regular breathing.
•Provides 4.5 mg of beta carotene, the equivalent of 7,500 IU of vitamin A (retinol) –as much as 1.8 oz. of cooked sweet potatoes or 2.9 oz. of cooked spinach.
•Provides 1.07 mg of alpha carotene, as much as 1.04 oz. of raw carrots.
•Provides 1.12 mg of lutein and 45 mcg of zeaxanthin, as much as in 5.23 oz. of corn."

ladies and gents they are NOT lying. i give this product a 5/5. a week or so after taking 3 pills a day with a meal; and following up with my skin care routine i started to see BIG changes in my skin. not only was it clearing out all that oil i had in my pores, but it also helped alot with my oily skin problem. well worth the money; and they just lowered the price on the Amway website.

the second one i take is the Daily Multivitamins. i am the worst eater; i eat alot of junk food, and i dont eat any vegetables at all. it got to a point where i was always out of energy and i started losing weight because i was constantly eating(which sped up my metabolism); but it was all junk food so i was getting zero nutrients or vitamins. losing weight sounds good; but not when you do it in an unhealthy way. i take these one a day, and they help fill in the little gaps of the things i wouldn't get in the foods i eat everyday. i think these are a little more expensive by a few dollars; but you only take one a day and it brings 180 tablets.

all in all; these two vitamins are very worth the buy. i was a non believer in taking any sort of vitamins daily and i honestly thought that i didnt need these; but now that i actually see the difference i will continue to buy these two and keep them in my day to day routine. dont feel restricted to only these two; Amway has vitamins and dietary supplements for EVERYTHING. browse around and see which vitamins fit you the most and trust me they are for sure worth every penny!! they also have vitamins to help with weight loss and others geared towards woman health. remember ladies; we arent 16 anymore; and we have to learn to take better care of ourselves!!

NAILS OF THE WEEK

so i had this little idea; since i change my nail color every week and i know some of you love nail polish as much as me; i'll post up my weekly looks! =) enjoy!
so, this is my lookie this week =) i la-la-la-love them. i've gotten plenty of compliments on them and i must say they look adorable. the nail polish is a Milani polish; egh one nail chipped; so im doubting that i'll buy Milani polish again; womp womp. but for the most part the color is very nice. here's the formula for these babies....

base coat: Sally double life base + top coat

polish: Milani nail polish in vivid yellow # 143

design: stripe rites in black

top coat: Sally double life base + top coat

and these are the results....

what do you guys think? OH, p.s i made it so that you dont have to have a blogspot account to leave a comment; i didnt notice it was like that; sorry!!

P.S.S

my mom is really gonna kill me haha
i made a little POLL section so you guys can vote of whether i should post about fashion as well as makeup and hair!! get your votes in!!

P.S.

quickly before my mom kills me for stalling; im thinking about adding a clothing/shoes/and accessories section to my blog! what do you guys think?

organize challange!

in the quest to organize my room i have found some really cool tips and tricks; website and items to make a really organized space. i have DREAM of moving into a two bedroom appt and turning one of the rooms into a walk in closet =) but till then i have to figure out a way to make more room in my room. one thing i HATE is that i buy so much stuff and never wear it because its not visible to me. you know how you have so many belts and shoes that you cram in your closet and forget you even have them? and accessories you never get to wear because they get stashed away; well im trying to solve all that one stop at a time. so far; i found a better way to store my makeup; my accessories; my nail polishes; and everything else in between! im gonna be taking some pictures of the things i've organized so far; show you where you guys can get these organizing tools; and give you other ideas and little tricks to make more space around your room. my room is going to go through a MAJOR make over haha; but first; i need to get my rollers in! =) my mommy is going to do them for me, so off i go to wash my hair; and im going to be blogging my fingers off while im in the hair dryer; so you guys can keep me company!!

big SEXY hair!

I'VE BEEN BOUGHT!!! so as any regular, working woman; i dont always have the time to go to the salon. i hate the waiting, the having to be there super early just to not get out of there by 7; and i hate that you have to go by their schedule. how great would it be to have someone just do your hair when ever you have the time; or when ever your free? well since the salons dont usually open Sunday's; Saturday's are too packed; and weekdays are for working; i decided that hmm maybe i'll do my hair at home. lets admit it ladies salons are rough on the wallet sometimes; dishing out 25 + dollars a week adds up; and thats money we could be spending on some FAB shoes!! i've been hunting around for a hair care line that i can use at home and isnt in the million dollar budget and i think i have a winner. its the SEXY HAIR line. mind you this line comes in a couple different branches; they have the BIG sexy hair; CURLY sexy hair; HEALTHY sexy hair; COLORED sexy hair; and etc. so they basically have a sexy hair line for what ever hair needs you have. the line has GREAT reviews online and people are loving these products so im going to give them a GO. im leaning more towards BIGsexy hair since its suppose to give you this super star volume (hmm we'll see about that). but hey! never hurts to try. i'll let you guys know how those work out for me. have you tried them?

Brushes! Brushes! and more...Brushes!!

so...if you havent guessed what this blog is about yet.... then hmm i wonder about you haha =) im going to give you guys a little low down on brushes; which ones you need; cheaper alternatives; and which ones are good at a reasonable price. first thing you need to know is that yes; price does matter for the most part because a two dollar brush isnt always going to give you the same result as a 40 dollar mac brush; but sometimes you can get away with using two dollar brushes if you have a. a really good eyeshadow primer b. really good eyeshadow. at the end of the day its about your budget and what you can afford; its your pocket. if you can dish out more money for higher quality brushes great; if not; there are other options. some cheaper brushes work as good but they wont last as long, that is the downside. for the most part i own mac and sephora brushes because they are great quality and last for a long time. you def dont want to dish out 10 dollars on a brush that will last you a month; and you'll end up having to replace, when you can get the same brush at sephora or mac for 20; that will last you years. unless your doing makeup professionally, there really is no need to have a million different brushes. you can get the same brush from different brands to try out, but for the most part there is a min requirement when it comes to brushes if your just doing makeup on yourself.
so, here is a little break down of the most important brushes to have in your makeup routine.

Foundation brush
even though most people pat on foundation with their fingers; brushes are much more efficient girls! this is a brush you will most likely use everyday so its good to get a good quality one so you dont end up having to replace it often. why is a brush better than your fingers? easy! your finger only takes in as much product as you can dab on it, and also the foundation brush has a flat shape and long bristles and ensures that your makeup will go on smooth and flawlessly =) also its better for blending than your fingers!! it helps you get more product on your face; without having to use so much of it.

Concealer Brush

the concealer brush is alot like the foundation brush in the sense that it looks like a mini version of it. the bristles are thin and short which makes it perfect for cream or liquid concealer. it is smaller because its more for spot treatment and under eye areas. its shame and size allows the brush to concentrate the product on your problem area.
this is also a brush that you might want to consider getting a good one so that it wont shed when you clean it, and wont have to replace often.

Powder Brush

the powder brush is used to apply any loose/pressed powder on your face to get rid of shine. it can also be used with your powder concealer/ bronzer; or to do some simple contouring of the face. they come in different sizes; and it just depends on your preference. a looser brush will give you less coverage; where as a fuller brush will apply more product on your face.

Eye shadow Brush

eyeshadow brushes come in alot of different shapes and sizes and each one does something a little slightly different than the other. you can use thin ones to line the eye, square shaped ones to smudge eyeshadow or liner, angled ones for your crease and contour, there really is no wrong with brushes. you pretty much use what is more comfortable for you. yes, specific brushes do specific things, BUT as long as you get from point A to B; it doesnt really matter which way you do it. every one is different and does make up in their own way. play around with brushes and figure out which one works best for what on you.

Blush Brush

self explanatory; its used to apply blush. you can get an angled brush, or a regular one. angled ones are good for contouring of the cheekbones and face; regular ones do the trick too; but the angle helps you pack on color more naturally.

optional; is a lip brush. applying lipstick; sometimes you can go too heavy, so to avoid this its better to use a lip brush so that you can get the precise amount you want and also to make sure that your lipstick is even all through out. it also helps with smoothing it out and helps with feathering. another optional is the eyebrow brush which are reasonable in price and help keep your brows and lashes in tip tip shape. like i said, there are many varieties and price ranges; it all depends on how much you are willing to spend. if you cant afford makeup brushes but still want good quality brushes; try some of the painting brushes from arts and crafts stores. it sounds silly but the brushes i used in college for painting classes are very similar to the ones i use for makeup. make sure you get the white haired ones or the orange haired ones since they tend to be softer. you dont want anything harsh on your face and eyes. target has great brushes for a good price, also coastal scents and bf-beauty.com has some good ones as well that get great reviews online and are very fair in price. hope this helps ladies!! give me some feedback!

MUFE(makeup forever) Cosmetic line

this little lovely post is an intro into the loveliness that is MUFE; a heads up on products that i will be purchasing and hopefully reviewing; and maybe some inspiration for you guys to try them as well. i first heard of MUFE when sephora opened up last year at my local mall. i was always into makeup but i didnt get into the higher end things besides mac until the sephora opened its doors. i felt like a kid in a candy store; and thats an understatement. i was looking to buy a concealer powder; i had macs, but i wanted to try something new because mac concealers tend to have alot of red in them and it came out a bit darker compared to my skin tone. i asked one of the girls that worked there to match me up and she told me about MUFE and after she put it on i LOVED it. mostly because it was perfect for my yellow undertone skin. now that i know that their powder foundations is good; i was looking into their liquid ones, since liquid foundations give you a more natural look. turns out that MUFE is also amazing when it comes to liquid foundations. after reading all the online reviews and watching some videos online im for sure going to try it. i always tried staying away from liquid foundations because truly people can do harm with these. if not blended well, foundations can make you look like a straight clown! i was debating on whether to get the MUFE HD; or the MUFE mat velvet; but based on reviews HD is geared more towards regular to dry skin. while mat velvet is more for people with oily skin because it gives that shine free natural finish to the skin which sounds amazing. at first i was iffy about the "mat velvet" title; but after reading the reviews; this stuff holds up pretty good. they compare it to the mac foundation; and its said that it gives the same coverage without the heavy thick feeling. macs liquid foundations goes on pretty flawlessly also; so im considering getting matched up at both places just to compare the two. for right now i'll try the mat velvet since i know its for oily skin.

im also going to get the makeup forever primer. whats awesome about MUFE primers is that they come in different colors according to your undertone and skin tone to help give your skin an all over even tone before you even apply foundation. i was matched up for the neutral(white) colored primer since i dont have much discoloration in my skin. if you go to sephora.com and look at the MUFE primers it gives you some detail about what each color does for your face, and its some guidance as to what color primer to get. if your medium toned, i suggest going with just the neutral white because the brown toner tends to be a little dark and has alot of red in it. it looked HORRIBLE ON ME. im also looking forward to trying this bad boy out...

its a concealer palette; much like the one i talked about in a previous entry. this one has five color options which means you can blend the colors together and get the precise coverage you need for under eye circles; blemishes; scars; etc. i also heard that their regular concealers are great too; so i'll probably give that a go too for the days where you get those random breakouts. and last but NOT least; eye shadows. they have this really cool little thing; refillable palettes. sometimes makeup lines only come out with palettes for special editions; or maybe the ones they do come out with only have 3 - 4 colors; so this works out great!

you can transfer your shadows directly into here which makes it easier to organize your eye shadows; and also gives you the freedom to make your own custom made palette.

you can find these and more MUFE products at sephora.com; also sephora has a special going on right now!! when you buy 3 MUFE eye shadows you get the palette(retailed at $10.00) for FREE!! the eye shadows usually retail for around $19.00 but well worth the money. also, mostly any shadow will fit in the palette, so you don't need to stick to just MUFE eye shadows!

The big MAC vs. MUFE

if you know the least bit about makeup you know that.....each line is GREAT when it comes to specific things. for example; mac is awesome with lip gloss and lipsticks; MUFE(make up for ever) is great with foundations and primers; Chanel has an awesome skin care line; etc. there is no one line that is amazing at it all. makeup is different for every one and everyone looks different in it. this is why i cant stress enough to NOT LET YOURSELF BECOME A BRAND NAME WHORE WHEN IT COMES TO MAKEUP. i see alot of these blogs and youtube channels and all they talk about is mac this, mac that!! yes, mac has great products; and brushes; and eyeshadows; BUT SO DO ALOT OF OTHER BRANDS. make up for ever is a perfect example of that. if you look around the Internet; or go into your local sephora and ask to have your face matched up with MUFE you will see what i mean. i tried on their concealer powder and primer and i found it to be 20 times better than macs. i also noticed that their eye shadows are just as pigmented and their color options are great. so whats the lesson to be learned here? dont buy products just because of their name, buy them because they look great on you. at the end of the day; they are on going on YOUR face, or your clients; and a brand name wont matter because you cant tell who's wearing what when it comes to makeup. lines like MUFE, dior, urban decay; etc, dont get as much recognition as they should because mac has a big fan base. im not saying to not purchase mac; because i surely do; im just saying to be open minded to the art that is MAKEUP and to not stick to one brand simply because of its name. in the end you deserve to get what you pay for and thats all that truly matters.

Essie Nail Polish review

Price: 4/5
Packaging: 5/5
Overall rating: 5/5

pros: cute color selection; goes on smooth; LASTS FOR DAYS!!; soft on nails; doesn't chip dramatically; looks great on nails; every color you can imagine, they got it!

cons: hmm not every one wants to dish out 8 dollars per nail polish but in my opinion you get your moneys worth because they are really good. only thing to look out for is that some of the colors are pretty sheer; so you have to do 3 - 4 coats; BUT the good thing is that no matter how many coats of this stuff i put on, it never got bulky, it still went on super smooth; and it looked as if i only had 2 coats on. i will for sure continue to buy from the Essie collection!

P.S. i waited a couple days to do this review to test out the durability of the nail polish and see how much chipping i was going to be dealing with.

Lo'real Lineur Intense felt tip liquid eyeliner review

Product: Lo'real Lineur Intense felt tip liquid eyeliner in 690; carbon black
Price rating: 5/5
Packaging rating: 5/5
Over all product rating: 5/5
Will i buy again?: yes!!
What the product claims to do:
"The cleverly designed applicator of Lineur Intense felt tip liquid eyeliner allows you to create delicately thin or dramatically bold lines with precision. Fragrance-free formula. Last all day, up to 8 hours. Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers."
Pros: Precise lines, straight on for thin lines, side for more dramatic lines. It has a rich black color and goes on easy, meaning no need for second application. The felt tip is great! and the liner dries fast. The product stays in place and its perfect for smokey eyed looks or cat eye liner effect.
Cons: If your not careful it gets into your eye and then its kind of hard to get out. You need a steady hand and practice to love this product, liquid liners in general are messier.
Overall Review: at the begining i wasn't very fair with this. i had never tried liquid eye liner before so i assumed that it should of been an easy process. the first time was very messy, since its liquid is was kind of going all over the place. with liquid you cant really get TOO close to the eye because it finds its way in there and then you kinda panic for a little while you get it out. its way harder to get liquid liner out of your eye than it is with pencil or gel. i've used pencil; and gel; and loved both, but im growing to love liquid as well. it goes on really smooth and crisp and truly brings out your eyes so much. also its very CLEAN; because once its dry it doesn't smudge much or move out of place line eyeliner and gel might do. this liquid liner is PERFECT for the cat eye look!! again, its all about technique and practice! def. worth the buy! i will be buying this product again.

egh to the flu season!!

so i've been sick in bed for the most part today and yesterday. and before that thanksgiving; black friday; and work. but no more time wasting. i got some great reviews to post up and ALOT of new info and tips and such. im going to be ordering new brushes and palletes which is what im waiting on to start doing looks on my eye models. im pending on 3 - 4 new palletes which means im gonna have TONS of colors. im plotting out some looks so im still looking for more and more eye models!! BRB with all the good stuff !! this flu has stumped me long enough.

Essie nail polish

so, i've seen essie nail polish plenty of times at target and what not; and i've wanted to buy some but sallys always grab my attention first since i already know their good. while at the movies at liberty tree mall; i stoped by trades secret on a mission to get some nail polish and i fell in LOVE.

its precious! the only thing i didnt like was that it was very sheer, so i had to apply 3 - 4 coats, BUT other than that i loved them. i ended up getting two colors;

they are both gorgeous; for 8 dollars where ever essies are sold near you. target has them but not as many color options. you can try online, or any beauty product stores at the mall. the greenish color is "mint candy apple"; the purpleish color is "looking for love". essie retails for $8.00 a piece.

the basics.

as promised =] girls, im doing some major blogging tonight! before we start talking makeup and all that good stuff; we gotta talk about the basics; skin care. i think makeup should enhance; not completely make you over. in order for your makeup to look and feel great; you have to start with great skin. having good skin makes your makeup look more natural and flow better. of course not every one has perfect skin, i sure don't, but taking good care of it goes a long way. also, makeup can do more damage than good if you have alot of breakouts and don't properly clean your skin. one thing you have to know is that; sometimes washing your face isn't enough; so always remove your makeup with a baby wipe; or a makeup remover. ALWAYS. every ones skin is different so what works for me might not work for you; but im going to tell you guys my routine. its very important to find a product that words well with your skin and caters to your specific needs. i personally tend to have oily skin. some products make the oil worst than others. i pretty much had GREAT skin up until a little over a year ago. my skin started breaking out, till this day i dont know why, and its still not perfect or back to how it use to be, but these products definitely helped alot.

the name of the line is artistry essentials; balancing. my moms friend recommended me these and im so glad. they really have helped so much. i was bouncing around from product to product like a mad woman! i had never had any skin problems so i was pretty much panicking. the thing is that you have to give products TIME to work. your skin has to adapt to them and then you start seeing results. at first i didnt notice any changes, but i stuck with artistry and im so glad i did! aveno is great, but i feel like it wasn't strong enough for my skin. this line is a 3 step process. the cleanser, the toner, and the lotion. whats great about it is that its for oily skin, so it hydrates without adding any extra oil to my skin. i've even noticed that over time my skin is no where near as oily as it use to be. i dont have to wear powder or anything, and its just fine. the lotion goes on great, it isnt greasy, and it has SPF15 which is great for the summer because the sun can do so much damage to your skin, and sometimes sun blocks are so greasy that you dont want to bother putting them on.

aside from the 3 steps; i also give myself a facial twice a week with these two products. one is a mask that helps out all the oil and junk from your pores; the other is a microdermabration scrub. both work wonders; specially the scrub. i gently scrub my face for about four minutes and it leaves my skin SO SMOOTH. it helps get rid of all dead skin that builds up around ur nose, and also works great with revealing new skin, specially if you have acne scars or dark spots. artistry tends to be on the pricier side; but trust me girls its so well worth it. the cleanser, toner, and lotion are between 14 - 20 dollars a piece. the scrub and mask are a little pricier, but these you dont use as much so you dont run out of them as often. if your having problems with your skin, or looking to try a new skin care line, i HIGHLY recommend artistry. balancing is the line for oily skin; but they also have artistry for reg and dry skin also. you can get artistry products from the Amway website, or find a representative around your way that sells them. if you guys have any questions; or need any info on these products let me know! also, my moms friend is a rep for Amway; so she sells the products so if you guys are interested in getting anything contact me.

slowly but surely!

OK; =) so as you can see there are a couple new things i put up; one being the message board. my sidekick email has been acting up and people have said to have sent me things; but i dont get them, maybe because half of the time i dont even have service. so, now you guys can use that to contact me; ask questions; request tutorials and such. another thing is i put up a visitors marker; just curious to see if people even come on this blog; purpose being if no one comes on it; then i need to advertise harder haha. gotta love a buy one get one!

hey girls! =) and boys haha. so yesterday i had the BEST luck. after work i decided to drop by Walgreen's to pick up an eyeshadow brush since its time to clean mines and i want to have a backup one; and oh man; lets just say say i left with more than just a brush. i ended up getting two Eco salon collection brushes.
these brushes are pretty good; and mind you i only payed about 3-4 bucks for them because they were on sale. Walgreen's was having a CRAZY cosmetics sale last night!! i hesitated because i said i was only going to get ONE brush; but egh i got both of them. they are both shadow brushes; BUT slightly different. I'll do a little demo later one. one of them is a medium detailer which lets you be more detailed with ur shadow. i also bought a duo brush; blender on one side; and smudger on the other side. i walked by where the physicians formula was SUPPOSE to be; and let me tell you....it was almost empty. ladies went hard on that lol. honestly there were like 10 things left because EVERYTHING was on sale; buy one get ones half off; buy one get one free; really good stuff. to my luck; they had the bronzer i wanted. its duo so you can actually use it as eyeshadow also. by this point i was way too excited. but i kept in mind that i had already spent way too much on makeup and stuff for the week. on my way to the cash register though; i ran into the mint julep mask; and i COULDN'T turn down the deal. it was only 3.99; AND it was buy one get my free; so i picked one up for myself; since i had promised a friend to get him one. i CANT wait to try it because the reviews from people i know and online have been really good. my skin; thank god; has been clearing up alot! its about time. my skin lost control last year around July; and is now slowing down. BUT better late than never. so girls run out to Walgreen's and try to snatch what ever is left; if any. ALSO; bare with me. I'm working on making my reviews a little more legit; but I'm still kinda new at this. i know they aren't as detailed as you guys might want them; i PROMISE that the next one will be as detailed as possible. ciao!

some reviews!! =)

so out of all the stuff i got; i tried some of it out today !! i probably looked dumb getting all dressed up to go work; since i work at a laboratory haha. but WHAT EV'SSSSS. heres the good stuff!!

ALL in all; the lineur intense eyeliner is ok =/ yes just OK. i mean; i like it; BUT i dont really like liquid eye liner. once you mess up you kinda have to start all over again. and lets not even go into the fact that its liquid and can be kinda messy. i guess im just a gel; or pencil kinda girl. the tip is great though; and the color looks really good on. maybe this product will grow on me; once i perfect applying it. other than the small tiffs everything else about this product is good.
NEXT; the cover sticks! the yellow; for the most part it does what its suppose to do. it does hide dark circles but i feel like maybe getting this brand isnt the best thing. the pixie ones work pretty good; but i guess since these are cheaper; it doesnt offer as much coverage as the more expensive ones. same goes for the green stick for redness; it helps; but doesnt hide all the way. i guess you gotta try different brands before you find the one that works for you.

the lashblast mascara; was ok. i expected it to be much better; but i think its because i got the volume one and not the lenght one. the physicians formula bronzer is good so far; really natural looking. the lip sticks will have to wait till tomorrow for a full run. i know this is so low on details and actual pictures; i'll have that tomorrow; for SURE!! and maybe i'll even do a couple of looks since i havent played with my makeup box in a while =)

newbies!!

i got some new stuffffff !!! =) egh i said i would tone down my cosmetics spending but arggggg!! that's IMPOSSIBLE! i did the best i could to stick to my budget. im only allowing myself 50 bucks a paycheck for makeup and stuff; but this week i spent 90 so far; and i say so far because i haven't gotten any new nail polish in a couple weeks! haha. so i went out today and got some stuff i wanted to try; and some basics. i bough the yellow; and green corrector cover sticks. i still want to get the green powder. I'll tell you guys how well those two turn out for me tomorrow. i also got the two SEXIEST lipsticks everrrr. i was skeptical at first because i usually don't go for BOLD lips, unless i do red. i feel my lips are too strong; but hey! i was in that mood today. i got a pink shade; and a dark plum shade. i tried them on as SOON as i got home and egh I'm in love haha. i got the lineur intense felt tip eyeliner that i wanted to try soooo bad. and last but not least 3 new eye shadow pallets in; grey green and purple =] pictures and details tomorrow!!!

HIP by loreal

if you are looking for lots of pigment or color in your makeup but don't wanna fork a billion dollars over to mac(even though it is well worth it; but since every ones in a recession budget plan lets work with what we've got) this is a great buy. LO'REAL HIP(high intensity pigment) line does exactly that. i was iffy about buying from this line at first because every freaking eyeshadow out there says it has great colors; and the lipsticks all say they have great opaque coverage; but this line actually does! eye cream eyeliners go on smooth and last, the duo eye shadows are super pigmented, almost as good as mac and come in 30 different duo combinations. the lips sticks are great. pretty much everything from this line is great, well priced, and worth trying.

neutrogena cosmetics

choosing the right cosmetics that go well with your skin is tough! some lines, even though they provide great coverage; clog your pores and make your breakouts even worst. best advice? try cosmetics that are organic; or even better that have a great skin care line! Neutrogena is a great example. their skin care products are great; and their cosmetics line prides itself in being great for your skin also. these are great foundations and concealers to use because it wont clog pores, some of the products have SPF in them; and they wont make your skin oily. cant beat that =)

the "eye" hate dark circles club haha

EYE CIRCLES; they do not discriminate. at all. everyone and anyone can get them. men, women, W.E. not only are they very unpleasant to have, but horrible to look at. they can make the prettiest female look tired and worn out. having them is only half of the problem, going about covering them is also a problem; mainly because people go about it the wrong way. some people think that covering them with your face concealer does the trick; when in reality it only makes them more noticeable. others try to go a shade or two lighter in concealer and dab that on their eyes; this just makes the area around the eye lighter; and depending on your skin tone; this might work; but come on if your a tanned female, what the heck do you look like with super light eyes? an idiot; that's what. so here are the juicy; simple; great tricks to get rid; or hide to the max the dark eye circles. first you have to look at your circles and figure out what shade of under eye circles YOU have. not everyone gets the same shade; some have purple, some have blue, some have green; and depending on what shade you have, this determines what color you need to correct it. this brings me to another fact; there is a difference between concealer and corrector; although they work hand in hand; concealer does what it says; conceals and gives you a more even skin tone. corrector CORRECTS skin discolorations or redness in the skin. it can basically help you hide things like freckles, redness in blemishes, and our friends; the dark eye circles =) Maybelline has these wonderful little things called "cover sticks" which come in the common color corrector colors; green, white, peach, orange, salmon, and pink, amongst other shades(since we established that everyone has different skin tones and dark eye color combinations). i know what you thinking; green? orange? WTF? breathe. each color does something a little different than the next. this is simple color theory. complimentary colors cancel each other out, turning into a neutral; this is also true with skin. the GREEN correctors work on redness. in other words they can tone down the redness in blemishes; or around your nose, where ever you choose to apply it. this comes in a stick, or powder palettes. and NO; it doesn't appear green on your face, unless you have a crappy one, but physicians formula is a great inexpensive option. yellow tints such as; yellow, orange, and peach; are what gets rid of eye circles because they cancel out purple and blue tints. which one you chose depends on your skin tone. yellow; for fair skin; peach for med skin tones, and orange for darker skin tones. you can also get away with pink corrector if you have really fair skin and fairly light circles. if the color isn't the only problem and you have puffy eyes, or recessed circles; you can add concealer to help hide them. recessed circles should go one shade lighter than your regular face concealer, and puffy eyes; a shade darker. there are many different options as far as correctors go, its just about finding the right one that is right for you. sometimes you might notice that you have two shades of dark circles; or that they aren't always the same color, this is FINE. the best advice is to look into palette's. PIXI has a quad palette so that you can customize your eye circles. this is the most inexpensive way because you have four colors that can cater to the specific color of your circles. no matter which one you get; the key is to BLEND it into your skin with either your finger; or a small concealer brush. HOPE THIS HELPED LADIES!! =)

newbies

shop list for tomorrow includes: Lineur intense eyeliner; and Lashblast mascara. heard fierce things about both of these products so i MUSTTTT try. i love me some great mascara; and up until now "the colossal" has been working wonders for me but hey it never hurts to discover a new favorite ya know?

Mint Julep Mask

im going to try this mask out!! i already have a mask that is the same brand as the rest of my skin care, BUT i've been doing my homework and reading some really great reviews about this mask. supposedly it gets rid of blackheads, dries out acne, AND makes your face smoother. and all these claims are coming from people who actually use the product so it cant hurt to try it right?
