Coastal Scents haul
SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG! I actually received this package on Saturday, but didn't upload all the pictures and get around to posting until now. Before i start let me link you guy the coastal website since some of you said you wanted to get these palettes. The website is http://www.coastalscents.com/ ; and there you can find everything from this haul, and many other things.
The things i ordered came in this cute little box. The second i saw it on the porch i ran like a mad woman to it lol. The palettes were extra carefully wrapped in loads of bubble wrap, and the brushes were in pink wrapping paper.
The actual palettes came individual in a black box(as pictured above) with the name of the company; as well as the name of the palette in silver.
It also brought a business card; and a sample of their pigment eyeshadow which i didn't even open. Now that i think of it i wonder if i threw it away? grrrr im going to have to look after this post. If i did throw it away by accident I'm super lame.
The brushes came bundled in this little ....bag thing lol for lack of better words. They also came individually wrapped in plastic.
mini detailer
stippling brush
the buffer brush
pointed crease brush
crease brush
pencil crease brush
crease brush
blender brush
The outside of the palettes are all similar, the only difference is that some are smaller than others. It has the company name, and then at the bottom; the name of the palette.
blush and contour palette
neutral palette
88 shimmer palette
88 color palette
88 metal palette
88 warm palette.
I have yet to try everything out completely. I tried a few things here and there when i was getting ready that Saturday, but nothing i can make a full review off of. From what I've played with so far; I LOVE IT!! The color pay off is great, and there are soooo many gorgeous colors. I am in love! I'm going to play with these some more and then make a review on them as soon as possible. would i recommend you guys get these? HECK YES!! they are worth every penny and I'm beyond satisfied with my purchase. The shipping was great, fast, and reliable. And ordering was easy and fast! once again the website is http://www.coastalscents.com/ ; GIVE IT A BROWSE; you wont be disappointed.
In times of recession...
- you can actually try the higher end ones out at the makeup counters; etc; and you can have someone help you get your exact color.
- better color quality, and better ingredients
- blends in smoother for a more flawless finish
- more color options
- better for your skin
WHAT CAN YOU GO TO THE CHEAPER END FOR?
Eye shadows, blush, lip sticks, lip glosses, some primers, eyeliners, mascaras, etc; these things can be found for a lower price without having to compromise on quality. There are many different brands out there that offer good color payoff when it comes to their products, without having to go over on your makeup budget!
WHATS UP TO YOU?
Personally, i think that whether you want to spend alot of a little on brushes is completely up to you. There is no wrong or right way to shop for brushes, and to apply makeup. Personally i tend to go with higher end brushes for my face, and lower end ones for eyeshadow. When you apply your face products you want to make sure you use a good quality brush that will give you that airbrushed, flawless finish. As for eye shadows, those depend more on the color payoff of the actual eyeshadow, more than the quality of the brush. Its obvious that as with everything in life, you will get what you pay for. You cant expect a mac brush to work as well as a drug store brush. Use your budget to determine how much you can spend, and go with that. If you are planning on using your brushes everyday, or if you want to enter the makeup artistry world, i suggest you spend good cash on your brushes because that way you will have to replace them less often, and they will last longer.

Mac haul
On to my purchased goodies! i only got 4 things but i swear the total made me feel like i got way more lol. mac should really consider the pockets of people like me who go there often. idk maybe a discount card or something?
I picked up some blushes because out of everything i have, blush is what i have least of. I loveeee it, but since my Dior one is so good, i didnt want to betray it. I fell in love with these two and a couple more but, i decided to just get two for now.
I ended up going with Pink Swoon; and Peaches.
These two colors are gorgeoussss; pictures dont do them justice.
I have been looking everywhere like a mad woman for the perfect peach blush; and let me tell you this is itttttt. It goes so perfect with my skin and makes me look flawless; i absolutely love it so much. Soooooooooo worth my money.
This pink one is similar to my Dior one, which is maybe why i liked it so much? but its not exactly the same, which is why i still got it. Out of all the pink ones this was my favorite. There are a couple more blushes i wanted to get, but i'll go back for those later.
I also bought two lippies that i tried on and loved.
MAC honeylove
MAC hue
Hue is the perfect peach lip! and it looks great with my peach blush. I love, love, LOVE it. and i might get another tube because I'm sure this is gonna go fast. Honey love gives me a perfect nude lip. these two lippies are worth my money and much, much more.

Bobbi Brown Beauty Rules book review
Not only does it give you step by step pictures and instructions; but it also has TONS of tricks that she uses on her clients to get that flawless, glowing, natural look that she is known for. This book teaches you age appropriate makeup for almost every age.
I personally love this book because im still at the age where my skin isnt perfect, so if i can do little things here and there to make it look better im all for it. I also bought this book because most of the makeup i do is for proms and birthdays; and alot of the girls are younger girls so this book really is handy to me. I for sure recommend getting it. Even if you are older, it is still worth the buy because ultimately the tips in here are universal and dont just go for one skin type or age. The book is sold at Bobbi Brown counters everywhere; and maybe also sold in bookstores such as boarders etc.

Leggings: The new sweat pant?
or not choosing leggings with enough fabric >
or not finding a pair of leggings with the appropriate length for your shoe choice >
I don't know what's so hard ladies, shit and gentleman because I know there are some men out there with legging fever and are most likely fucking it up as well.
So, here are 5 rules to live by so you're never THAT bitch.
1. KNOW YOUR SIZE. I know that some of us want to believe we're still just a large but boo, if your leggings are pulling so much that we see the plastic polymers (I SAID THAT SHIT TOO, POLYMERS BOO!) through the fabric, it's time to add the X baby. No shame in going up a size and looking fabulous, but there's no excuse for wearing a smedium when you're a slarge.
2. COORDINATE. It's universal: black goes with everything. It is NOT universal for all colors simply because mixing teal with magenta ain't hittin' it. Solid leggings are easily paired, colorful leggings are usually best paired with solid tops...get it? It's all a matter of isolating the drama in your outfit and playing it up with simple accents.
3. LENGTH CONSCIOUSNESS. Not all of us are model thin or have legs for days, that still isn't an excuse for letting your legging de-sexy your bottom half. If you're plus size, a longer legging is more flattering, it gives you a shapely silhouette and softens any lumps, bumps or humps. I do not reccommend capri leggings for a larger woman only because it can shape your thighs but leave your calves hangin'. If you're on the slim or athletic side you may want to consider capri leggings, it can really accentuate your toned calves.
4 KEEP THE SHOE IN MIND. If you're wearing capri style leggings then I shouldn't catch you in booties, I shouldn't catch you any boot that doesn't MEET and/or COVER the bottom of your leggings. Flats usually go really well with leggings, especially if it's a relaxed look. I don't condone the sneaker/legging combo unless you're getting your fitness on. I don't hate ugg's in fall so they're a total "GO" until I see snow, then I'm not sure who you're trying to fool with them raggedy, wet looking things.
and 5. DONT GO CRAZY Just because Beyonce has embellished leggings doesnt mean they're a good look...for you. Some people just cannot pull off the fancy legging, you know what I'm talking about, the ones with zippers, bells, whistles, tassels, french horns and mini bar on the side. If you don't know or are unsure if you should be wearing these flamboyant bottoms, then don't, step away from the rack and proceed to the scarf aisle.
I hope I helped someone today, or someones. If I did, leave an AMEN! Shit, if you're going to show this to someone who needs it send a double AMEN.
